Eponymous heroine of Thrace, daughter of Oceanus and Parthenope, sister of Europa and half-sister of Asia and Libya, the daughters of Oceanus and Pompholyge She had three sons: Bithys or Bithynus, whose father was Zeus, Dolongus, whose father was Cronos, and Trieres, whose father was Obriares. Under the name Thrassa she is mentioned as the mother of Ismarus, whose father was Ares. She is traditionally held to have considerable magical powers.
