Egri-Dere
Village

Kallithea

Village in the region of Drama, close to Serres. Its original name was Egri-Dere, which means “crooked pit”, because the old village was built between two pits. Its modern name means "nice view".

Most of the inhabitants work in agriculture, mainly in tobacco growing, as well as livestock breeding. An interesting attraction is the church of Agios Athanasios of 1832, which belongs to the type of three-aisled basilica without a dome.
