Fringed pink

The Fringed pink (lat. Dianthus superbus suberbus) is an herbaceous perennial plant that is endemic to Europe and North Asia. It is relatively rare in Greece, where it grows on Pangaio Mountain and Rodopi range. Its scientific name dianthus originates from Greek and means the flower (anthos = flower) of Dias (the ancient Greek God Zeus).
