The monastery belongs to the monastery of Iviron of Mount Athos. It is in the park of Dadia, 1 km away from Kornofolia, Soufli. It is built on the Kouri hill. It is uncertain when exactly it was built. It is dedicated to the dormition (death) of Mary, although it celebrates on 22 and 23 August.
The wood carving, carved and gilded iconostasis with old icons makes its temple impressive.
