Και ήδη οι Αργοναύτες διέσχιζαν τη θάλασσα με το πλοίο τους ναυπηγημένο στις θεσσαλικές Παγασές. Είδαν τον Φινέα να σέρνει τα άπορα γηρατειά του μέσα σε αιώνια νύχτα και οι νεαροί γιοι του Βορέα κυνήγησαν τις φτερωτές παρθένες από το θλιβερό στόμα του γέρου, και αφού υπέμειναν πολλά στο φως της μέρας με αρχηγό τον Ιάσονα, έφτασαν στα ταραγμένα νερά του λασπερού Φάση.

And now the Argonauts were ploughing through the sea in their ship, built in Thessalian Pagasae. They visited Phineus, living out a useless old age in perpetual blindness, and the winged sons of Boreas had driven the birdlike Harpies from the presence of the unhappy, aged man. At last, after enduring many trials, under their famous leader, Jason, they reached the turbulent river-waters of the muddy Phasis.
