A cameo pendant made of onyx depicts the head of the god Dionysus in profile to the left. He wears a wreath of ivy leaves and fruits.

The cameo dates back to Roman times. The gold surround set in which the cameo is embedded and around the precious stones (amber, turquoises, and rubies) was made in 1730, probably in Germany.
