Inde per inmensum croceo velatus amictu
aethera digreditur Ciconumque Hymenaeus ad oras
tendit et Orphea nequiquam voce vocatur.

Έπειτα, καλυμμένος με έναν βαθυκίτρινο μανδύα, αναχώρησε ο Υμέναιος μέσω του ατελείωτου αιθέρα κατευθυνόμενος προς τη γη των Κικόνων, χωρίς να ακούει τη φωνή του Ορφέα, που μάταια τον καλούσε.

Hymen, called by the voice of Orpheus, departed, and, dressed in his saffron robes, made his way through the vast skies to the Ciconian coast: but in vain.
