In this mosaic floor from the House with the Masks (a luxurious private house in Delos) the god Dionysus is depicted seated on a panther. He wears rich and colorful clothes, a long chiton and himation, and he is crowned with a wreath from ivy leaves and flowers. He holds thyrsos (stick that ends in a pinecone with ivy and vine leaves) in his right hand and a drum in his left.
