Greek grammarian, of whose life nothing is known save that he was active in Constantinople in the late 5th century. He is the author of the Ethnica, an important geographical dictionary incorporating a wealth of mythological, etymological and historical information drawn primarily from ancient writers, of which only an abridged version is preserved.
