Church of the Assumption of Mary (Samothrace)

One of the oldest churches on the island. It was bulit in Chora of Samothrace in 1875. It is a representative example of the architecture of the island. It is a wooden-roofed basilica.

Inside the church there are old icons, the most important of which is that of the Assumption of Mary, and valuable relics, such as the heads of the five martyrs of Samothrace, Manuel, George, Michael, Theodoros and George.
