Village

Dikaia

Village built next to the Evros river, close to the Bulgarian border. Its name means "the just ones". Visitors can see tiled roofed tombs where gold jewelry was found, as well as tombs of landowners of the time of Emperor Commodus (117-192 AD), in which items such as vessels with handles, a copper buckle, and embossed dice were found.

Every year, on 8 May, in the church of Agios Ioannis Theologos, the custom of Kourbani is revived and on 2 February, the custom of Tryfonas is revived.
