The marble house in Drama
The "marble house" as it is known, was built by the Greek elder and tobacco merchant Ioannis Anastasiadis in 1875. Together with the adjacent building of the tobacco warehouse, built in about 1845, it constitutes a single residential complex. It is a remarkable example of architecture with interesting morphological elements and, of course, the uniqueness of the marble exterior cladding, which gives it a monumental character. The interior is decorated with frescoes and ceiling paintings. The time of its construction, at the end of the 19th century during the Turkish occupation, classifies it among the historical monuments of Drama.
In its premises is housed the museum of cameras of the civil non-profit company Cyclops.
