The cave has a large entrance and a length of almost 200 m. In the first room several ceramic findings have been found that reveal human presence and perhaps even habitation during historical times. The stalactites and stalagmites in the second room, at the bottom of the cave, are impressive. In the same spot, a human skull covered with stalagmite material, other anthropological material and ceramic sherds from the early Bronze Age were found, irrefutable witnesses of human presence in the cave. In modern times it is inhabited by a large colony of bats.
The cave is not an archeological site open to visitors. If you are a hiking and adventure enthusiast, access is relatively easy. From the chapel of St. Raphael follow the forest road and the path on the eastern bank of the Despati River.
