Village in the region of Rodopi. It has a 45-meter-high dam and a capacity of 18 million cubic meters of water that serves the National Electric Power Plant in the industrial area of Komotini.

In the area, there are ruins of the fortification of Byzantine Gratianoupolis built in the 14th century. The chapel of Zoodochos Pigi in the ruined fortifications of the castle is an interesting sight.
