Village in the plain of Drama. Refugees from Eastern Thrace settled here after the Greco-Turkish War (1919–1922). The inhabitants work in agriculture and livestock breeding. Based in the village, the Folklore Association of Thracians organizes many events and revives the customs of refugees such as Babo, the feast of Saint Mokios, the feast of the Ascension of Christ, the meeting of the Thracians.
