Village in the region of Drama, close to the Greek-Bulgarian border. Its 232 inhabitants are refugees from Samsun and Bafra and work mainly in agriculture and livestock breeding.

Near the village, there is a small artificial lake and dam, the church of Taxiarches, a three-aisled basilica of 1848 with a wooden roof and frescoes of 1860 with representations from the Old and New Testament.
