The church was founded in 1950 in Polystylo. The relics of the five martyrs, Efstratios, Afxentios, Eugenios, Mardarios and Orestis are kept there. Their remains were transported by refugees after the Asia Minor Catastrophe.
The church celebrates on December 13, which is the day of the five martyrs, and on Zoodochos Pigi Friday.
