The mosque is in the Asa district and owes its name to the plane tree in front of its entrance. It was built by Çıplak Hüseyin Ağa, who spent his whole fortune on it.
It consists of two spaces; the main building and a second space. The mihrab (sanctuary) has relief and plaster decorations that combine baroque and folk elements. The minaret is made of marble. Northwest of the mosque, there is a cemetery where the mother and daughter of the owner are buried.
