Tychero 

Town in the prefecture of Evros. Before 1922 it was inhabited by Turks and Bulgarians. In 1953 it was renamed “Tychero” (meaning “lucky”).

Most of the inhabitants work in agriculture, mainly in melon cultivation. The village has an artificial lake next to which there is an exhibition with samples of fossil finds of the area and an Equestrian Association.
