Monastery dedicated to the Dormition of Mary, i.e. her death ("falling asleep"). It is also called Panagia or Panagouda and is between Maries and Skala of Maries. The church was built in 1813 on the site of an older one and has an icon of the Virgin of the 15th-16th c.
The entrance of the monastery is impressive. The church is a three-aisled basilica. Its roof is wooden. There is no narthex. The light is dim to create an atmosphere.
All the walls of the church are decorated with figures of saints or religious representations. A common feature of almost all representations is the constant presence of the figure of Mary as well as the fact that, where Jesus appears as an infant, he is always placed right in the center of Mary's arms.
The monastery celebrates on the 15th of August.
