An important monument of Drama and the Ottoman history of the city. It was renovated in 1806 by Mehmet Halil Aga, according to a founding inscription at the entrance. It is in the former Muslim district of Drama.
It was part of a larger complex with rooms, a cemetery and a fountain in an enclosed courtyard, and was used as a mosque until the 1920s. In 1983 it was listed as a protected monument. The painted decoration on the façade of the unique stone building is of artistic and historical value.
Today, it hosts cultural events.
