The Pythio Railway is located to the south of the settlement of the same name. It belongs to the local line port of Alexandroupolis-Dikaia. It is located between Petradon and Rigio stations.

The station building, like the rest of the Alexandroupolis-Dikaion railway network, is made of glass-brick construction and covered with wooden cladding.

The legendary Orient Express train passed through the Pythio station on its way from Paris to Istanbul.
