The mud baths of Krinides are 18 km away from the city of Kavala and are one of the best in the Balkans. The baths combine mud turf and thermal waters. Clay therapy is based on the use of “mature” clay, the application of which is total or partial, meaning that either the whole body gets immersed in it or the clay is applied on the surface of the skin. Its therapeutic action is local and general and is mainly due to three types of factors; mechanical, thermal and chemical. It is ideal for rheumatological disorders, gynecological, cardiovascular, skin disorders and diseases of the nervous system. The mud baths are open from 1 June to 15 October.
