Church in Agia Varvara Park. According to a local legend, during the Ottoman era, an attempt was made to demolish the church, which was flooded by the running waters of the area and it was saved. Since then, the inhabitants of Drama, on the day of St. Barbara (4 December), light candles, and place them on little boats that float on the lake creating a beautiful sight.
