Extensive recreation area located within the city of Drama with old, tall trees, lakes and natural springs that keep the whole city cool. Watermills and old tobacco warehouses can also be seen in the park, reminding us that the tobacco trade was once the main source of income for the city.
The park was named after the church dedicated to St. Barbara, the patron saint of Drama.
