Livera Railway Station was inaugurated in 1900 and is located next to the river Nestos, outside the abandoned village of the same name, and very close to the Cave of the Dryads. It belongs to the Thessaloniki-Alexandroupolis line, which is the central railway artery of Northern Greece. It is located between the stations Stavroupoli (in the direction of Thessaloniki) and Toxotes (in the direction of Dikaia).
The train ride in the area offers a magnificent view of the narrows of Nestos and the surrounding valley.
