This is the central panel of a Gallo-Roman mosaic floor originally decorated a room. It is composed of a honeycomb hexagons set within a circle, set within a square. At the center there is a bust of Orpheus wearing a Phrygian cap. Orpheus is surrounded by six reclining wild animals: bear, goat, two lions and two felines. Personifications of the Four Seasons are placed in the corners. The mosaic is well-preserved, but it has been restored several times in its long history.
