Λένε πως και ο αδάμαστος Άρης κάποτε μετά τις μάχες του χαλαρώνει τα μέλη του και τα απλώνει στα Οδρύσια χιόνια. Και ξεχνώντας τον εαυτό του αφήνει, πιο επιεικής, το δόρυ και ειρηνεύει τα αυτιά του με ρυθμούς της Πιερίας.

It is said that, relaxing after his battles, untamed Ares would stretch his limbs across the Thracian snows, and in a gentler mood lay aside his spear and let Pierian airs bring peace to his ears.
