Thamyris competes with the Muses in front of Aphrodite

Thamyris, wearing thracian clothes, plays the lyre in an open-air in a circle of listeners including Muses and Aphrodite, flanked by Erotes. Under a tree and on a base line up three dressed xoana, allowing to identify the location of the scene with a sanctuary.
