Milinakia

Milinakia used to be small-sized pies, usually made with the left-overs of phyllo pastry after the preparation of a pie proper. It was ultimately a delicacy for young children who were eagerly waiting for the pie to come out of the oven. The mixture for the filling varied from mizithra or cheese with eggs to spinach with cheese and eggs or minced meat roasted with onion or leek.
