Town of the regional unit of Drama, on the outskirts of Falakro Mountain.
The hill of Profitis Elias overlooks the area. To the east, there is a prehistoric settlement of the Neolithic and the Late Bronze Age. To the west, there is the Lakkos gorge with a stone bridge.
Xiropotamos hosts festivals of traditional dances as well as the Xiropotamos Trail. Customs of the cult of the Twelve Olympians are also revived. Agios Georgios is the patron saint of the village. Every summer, the popular religious festival of Profitis Elias takes place.
