Baths

Hamam of Oruç Paşa

It is an Ottoman bath, located on a raised embankment on the banks of the Erythropotamos River, in Didymoteicho.  They are considered the earliest Ottoman baths in Greece as they date back to 1398-1399, while they are the oldest surviving Ottoman baths in Europe. The hammams were in operation until the beginning of the 20th century.
