Threiciam Rhodopen habet angulus unus et Haemum,
nunc gelidos montes, mortalia corpora quondam,
nomina summorum sibi qui tribuere deorum.

Στη μία άκρη εικονογραφούνται τα θρακικά βουνά Ροδόπη και Αίμος, τώρα  παγωμένες βουνοκορφές, κάποτε θνητοί που απέδωσαν στους εαυτούς τους τα ονόματα των ύψιστων θεών.

One corner shows Thracian Mount Rhodope and Mount Haemus, now icy peaks, once mortal beings who ascribed the names of the highest gods to themselves.
