Chora of Samothrace

Built amphitheatrically at the foothills of Mount Saos, close to the port of Kamariotissa, Chora has been declared a traditional settlement on the island of Samothrace.

The town features paved streets, cobblestone paths, and two-story stone-built houses. Dominating Chora is the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, adorned with icons and the carvings of the Five Martyrs of Samothraki, while the Folklore Museum is also noteworthy.
