The Hague manuscript includes a miniature that shows Herakles defeating the Thracian king Diomedes. Herakles is dressed in brown. He is ready to attack Diomedes' final opponent with his club. Two Thracian warriors lie among them, already dead. On the right, it is seen the version of the myth where Herakles fed Diomedes' corpse to the man-eating horses. He is dressed in black and orange with the crown on. On the left, two ships with Herakles' companions are waiting for him to leave.
