Mountain sports on Gribena peak
The 520 m high peak is accessible from the paths that start from Dadia. The red trail that starts from the Park Information Centre leads to the top. After about two hours of hiking through the black pine forest you will be able to admire the view of the whole forest and see vultures and birds of prey in the sky. Near the top are the ruins of a Byzantine castle. You can follow the blue path to go down from the peak. It takes one and a half hour and the route goes through forests with various trees such as oaks, kumarias, heather and others. Next to the trail passes Diavolorema. Further down you will come across a cave and at Chami is a fountain with clean, running water.
You can hike all year round, of course when weather conditions allow, except during the fire season from May 1 to October 31. Before you start hiking, don't forget to bring appropriate shoes, water, first aid supplies, good physical condition and of course contact the Information Centre of the Management Body at 2554032209.
