Oil painting depicting the blindness of Polymystor by Hekavi, Guiseppe Maria Crespi (1665-1747)

The oil painting depicts Hecuba, the wife of King Priam of Troy, blinding the Thracian King Polymestor as a retribution for the death of her son Polydorus. Hecuba pokes her fingers into Polymestor's eyes, as he tries to slip away from her fury. Another woman collaborates with her in crime.
