nec non Threicius longa cum veste sacerdos                                      
obloquitur numeris septem discrimina vocum,
iamque eadem digitis, iam pectine pulsat eburno.

Εδώ και ο Ορφέας, ο θρακιώτης ιεροφάντης με τον μακρύ χιτώνα του, συνοδεύει με φωνή ταιριαστή την επτάχορδη λύρα του, παίζοντάς την άλλοτε με τα δάχτυλα κι άλλοτε με το φιλντισένιο πλήκτρο.
