The church was built in 1858, but was burned down in 1912, and revuilt in 1925. Architecturally it belongs to the three-aisled basilica style. It is stone-built and timber-framed. The raised roof in the central nave allowed the creation of windows and better lighting. The aisles are defined by a double colonnade. The columns are wooden and covered with plaster. The iconostasis is simple, made of wood.
On the western side of the church, a two-story gallery was created above the narthex. The icons of the church date back to 1805 and 1815, except for those of the iconostasis, which are newer.
