Diomedem Thraciae regem et equos quattuor eius, qui carne humana vescebantur, cum Abdero famulo interfecit; equorum autem nomina Podargus Lampon Xanthus Dinus.

[O Ηρακλής] σκότωσε τον Διομήδη, τον βασιλιά της Θράκης και τα τέσσερα ανθρωποφάγα άλογά του μαζί με τον δούλο Άβδηρο. Τα ονόματα των τεσσάρων αλόγων ήταν: Πόδαργος, Λάμπων, Ξάνθος, Δεινός.

[Hercules] killed Diomedes, King of Thrace, and his four horses which fed on human flesh, along with the slave Abderus. The horses' names were Podargus, Lampon, Xanthus, and Deinos.
