The feast is an old custom of the inhabitants of Micropolis dating back to around 1850. It was held in the spring, on the eve of the feast of Saints Constantine and Helen at the chapel of Saint George. On that day none of the inhabitants of the village was working. They all joined in the call to ask God for a good harvest.
Nowadays, the feast begins and ends in the chapel. In the morning at the Church of Agios Georgios, the Divine Liturgy is celebrated, in the afternoon there is a procession of the icon and after church vespers the Kourbani is offered accompanied by traditional dances and a traditional orchestra.
