Momogeroi

A custom followed on the second day of the new year, in villages where refugees from Pontus have settled (Sitagroi, Kalliphytos, etc.). It is a popular traditional theater, which combines dance and pantomime and in which dancers disguised as old men participate.

Yet another custom that comes from mythology, as was named after Momus, god of laughter and sarcasm, who contributed a lot to the cult of Dionysus. According to one version, his priests were called "momogeroi".
