Large village of Thassos island overlooking Kavala. It was built in 1750 and has  a lot of traditional houses. Its inhabitants work mainly in agriculture and fishing.

Sights include the church of Agios Dimitrios and the Folklore Museum, which is housed in an 1880 mansion and exhibits traditional tools, textiles and photographs.
