Learning about the Balkan and World Wars
The building was constructed in 1910-1911 to house the Turkish Division. Building material from the Byzantine Fortress was used for its construction. It is a remarkable example of architecture with its particular architectural and morphological elements. It belongs to the buildings classified as historical and listed buildings. From 1920 it housed various military administrations of the Greek Army until 2011 when the Military Museum of the city was inaugurated.
Exhibits include uniforms of military schools, medals of the world wars, weapons and various military objects. Outside the museum, tanks, vehicles and artillery of World War II are exhibited.
