The old courthouse in Komotini
The mansion must have been built in about 1870 to house the Ottoman Administrative Court and probably the court. After the Treaty of Lausanne in 1923, the judicial authorities of the Thrace Court of Appeal and the Court of First Instance of Rodopi were transferred here. It remained in operation as a courthouse until the beginning of 2004.
The octagonal skylight of the staircase stands out among its architectural elements.
