It was founded in 2003 to honor those who dealt with tobacco in Kavala. It is a thematic museum with 7 thematic sections: cultivation and spatial processing of tobacco, classical processing, toga processing, exhibition samples, tobacco dealers and tobacco trade, tobacco workers and tobacco trade unionism, tobacco industry.

The space exhibits tools, machines, photographic material, paintings and frames, collections of objects related to tobacco, images of tobacco warehouse buildings, samples of tobacco varieties from all parts of Greece, etc.
