The ancient Pergamum of Macedonia

In the settlement of Moustheni, researchers place the ancient Pergamon. It was an important ancient city of the Pieres, together with Phagris, near Orfani. The ancient city is also mentioned by Herodotus. Its location must be south of the settlement and the highway Kavala-Thessaloniki.
