Timios Prodromos (Xanthi) 

The basilica of Xanthi 

It is in the Old Town and is dadicated to the patron saint of Xanthi. It is a three-aisled, three-sided basilica. The central aisle is dedicated to the birth of Prodromos (St. John), the northern one to the Annunciation of the Virgin and the southern one to Agios Georgios (St. George) of Ioannina.

The church was built in 1839 and celebrates twice a year, on 24 June and on 29 August.
