North of the settlement of Nipsa, in the regional unit of Evros, the wooded area with many large trees and dense vegetation is part of the Southern edge of the forest complex of Evros. It is located at a distance of about twenty kilometers northeast of Alexandroupolis. The forest of Nipsa is the habitat of many species of birds and has been designated as a Natura habitat.
