The basmas tells his story
The tobacco museum was founded in 2003 and aims to present the various stages of tobacco production and processing. At the same time, it focuses on the hard work of the people who were involved in the production of this product.
Through the thematic sections and the presentation of tools and other objects, the visitor gets to know the painstaking and time-consuming process. Photographs and paintings complete the museum's collection and bring to life the image of Kavala of past centuries, which developed economically thanks to the processing and trading of tobacco.
On request there is also the possibility of a guided tour.
